Many of our users have asked for schwag and gear ... We finally have created a gallery of products.  We're just starting out so if you have any suggestions for motivation mug sayings, bumper sticker call-outs, or something that would look good on the back of a MapMyRun dry-fit shirt, or on a MapMyRide motivation mug, drop a comment below!

Our store can be found at:
    http://www.zazzle.com/MapMyFitness

Send me your suggestions! We'll be adding more gear soon!

Well, I know the map copyrights are owned by NavTech, TeleAtlas, etc and license would have to be negotiated ... but it's such an iconic image I'd totally buy something with that integrated into the design, especially if it could be customized to have a local feel...

Ok, one more -- not really schwag, but a feature idea product/partnership request: "Print as cue sheets" (print yourself or order from partner site like Snapfish or FedexKinkos to get glossy and/or laminated cue cards in the mail)

    Kevin:

I have a quick one, stolen I suppose:  The shirt can be found at:

    https://secure.hbcrunforcanada.ca/docs/HbcRFC_ParticipantShirts.pdf

Text includes 'i mapmyrun.com' (front) 'do you mapmyrun.com' (back)

or 'What are you running from? Mapmyrun.com'

or 'Do you like my sexy man legs?  Find more at www.mapmyrun.com'

or 'Kilometers? Miles? Can't we all be friends?  Join the worldwide running community at mapmyrun.com'

I think you get the idea.  The shirt style is the main point.

Drew Rankin (Thanks for adding the fb app, hope your enjoying)

I am new to this website, and really enjoy logging my information and watching my daily progress. I was lucky enough to have a girlfriend tell me about it, otherwise, I would have never heard of this place.

I agree with user psoebr's ideas about the text on shirts, something catchy and funny. This is truly a great place for people who enjoy cycling, running, etc., and I think if we're going to go public with advertising on t-shirts they should be catchy and make you smile. Just an idea.

I dont know, I'm not a marketing expert.

    Good Luck!

Here is a few good quote for a shirt of mug or whatever....

Today at work you completed 5 sales figure reports.  So what, I maped 5 new running/biking routes and tracked my workouts for the past month!

The office system manager found out about my MapMyRun.com activity, at least it's not porn.

I know there is a deadline on this account, but I have a Marathon/Century to train for!

    You get the picture!

I do like the stuff you have on the site but I really like Kevin's suggestions, fun shirts that make people laugh:)

i know what would be a cool gift/gear to sell...

have a 'mapmyrun.com' logo on the upper left hand pocket area with your custom favorite run on a large scale on the back, showing the map just like it does on the website.  it would be really cool if it was a satelite pic with the lines going through the streets mapping where you've run!

it would probably be a good idea to have different colors, most likely lighter ones, so the map and logo comes out crisper.  and it would be a better sell if it was a tech shirt as opposed to a cotten one, although you could let the customer customize it as he/she wants it.

1.) I run... what do you do?

     2.) No really, your right.(Front)

You're in too good of shape to worry about running.(Back)

3.) I won't mind if you ran with me, unless, you like moving slow.

These sounded a little too mean once I wrote them down, sorry. :o)

I would buy that one about your too good a shape to worry about running! Being a bit (!) on the heavy side I feel quite self concious when Im out running but I think what the hell Im making the effort and most of the people looking at me thundering down the road prob couldnt do any better, so I would def buy that t shirt!

I would buy a mapmyride.com cycling jersey. You could even have a design for each of the countries represented by mapmyride's patrons.

    Here are my suggestions:

    1. I'm bald, so a cap or doo-rag/bandana in some sort of wicking/quick dry material would be cool.

    2. Bike jersey (I'll second whankla's suggestion).

    3. Cycling cap

    4. Socks

    5. Base layer to wear under #2.

Well we do have an entire corner of our office taken up by boxes full of socks :) I'll ask Kevin when we'll be sending those out.

    Kevin:

First, the new site is looking great.

Second, I can't wait for MMR swag.

I have used Zazzle and made myself one of their 'performance microfiber shirts - Unfortunately, I thought the shirt was crap...it has no absorption whatsoever, it just gets slimy.  If you are going to offer tech-T's please make sure they are high quality.  Get a couple samples (I'd be happy to beta test - I sweat a LOT!) before you offer them up to the community.

I'd also suggest on the Tech-T's only small logos - the printing defeats the wicking process, so you just get a slimy back if you have a big logo on the back.

    Thanks!

    Dov

When running I thought of some really good quotes for some shirts. Maybe we should have a contest for the best slogan/quote and we could win a free shirt with our logo on it?

               Don't "Just Do It"

    "Map It" @ MapMy______.com

It could be separated front and back or together on top of the official logo. By logo I mean what looks like the swish of a brush stroke with the icon of the activity on it. If together on top of the official logo it could work for:

     - the pocket of a polo

     - A large emblem on one side of a T-shirt

     - the large emblem for a cycling jersey, which could also include official sponsors of the site if they wished to participate.  They may even like the idea and help pay for some of the capital investment of production.

     - the emblem for caps, hats, dew rags, socks etc, etc.

  6.
    Moore121135

Back side of shirt with lettering like police shirts but instead saying

     POLITE

    or We support our local

    POLICE
