Senior Web Application Developer (Denver, CO)

MapMyFitness (home of MapMyRun.com and MapMyRide.com) is seeking a talented senior PHP developer (PHP5 /mySQL a must) to work on our suite of Health and Fitness websites. This is a full time, contact-to-hire position. You must have proven experience building highly interactive web front and back ends and must know and understand both CSS/HTML and javascript/AJAX (jQuery a plus!)

Other requirements: Ability to show us working, live sites you have built as well as code samples from those sites. You should be able to explain what was most challenging about building those sites; Proven track record in the LAMP stack; Code for scalability and strong OOP skills, Strong understanding of http, sessions, web load balancing, etc.; Experience with jQuery/AJAX very desirable.

Senior Web / Interactive Designer (Denver, CO)

MapMyFitness (home of MapMyRun.com and MapMyRide.com) is seeking an experienced web / interactive designer to develop artwork for a full range of creative/marketing communications tools from concept through production. Primary tasks will focus on leading the development of visual concepts, comps, designs and layouts that achieve the strategic goals for print and interactive projects.

The Senior Web/Interactive Designer will be responsible for the definition and graphic development of all consumer/business-facing aspects of our online communities. You will be responsible for working closely with product marketing and the technical team to create and layout the user experience. You will collaborate with team members to understand the needs of the UI, and design and construct cohesive and aesthetically pleasing user interface solutions. You will work proactively to stay knowledgeable of current implementation technologies and best practice solutions. The ideal candidate will have a visual design background and strong understanding of the process of human interface design.

The job requires someone who has excellent insights into online user experience, enjoys building world-class consumer products, and is passionate about delivering products to market that delight the consumer.

Experience and Portfolio Material is required in: HTML/CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash/Action Scripting, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Quark Xpress

The Opportunity

Selling activities include prospecting and rapport building through multiple communication points and periodic conferences/events. You must be persuasive, able to build relationships, have a working knowledge of the internet, but most of all passionate and motivated to be successful.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Follow up with opportunities and leads in a consistent manner
  • Qualify prospects to set high quality appointments
  • Continual tracking of all communication with perspective customers in database (Salesforce)
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate client contracts and rates
  • Meet quota, enroll new customers, and generate new sales revenue

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements

  • A four year college degree backed by a minimum of 2 years sales experience
  • Sales cycle knowledge, (Advertising Sales a Plus)
  • Demonstrated prospecting experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and overcome objections
  • Experience with online databases -- (Salesforce a Plus)
  • Knowledge of the internet and web-based applications
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Compensation

  • Agreed upon base
  • Uncapped commission (above average commission %)
  • This is an independent contractor role
